Brian Bero is a commercial lawyer who has advised corporations like Telstra, Oracle and Qantas on general and commercial legal matters including litigation, negotiations and compliance.
He has strong experience in the telecommunications and information technology industries and has represented leading banks, technology and telecommunication companies, airlines and government authorities on a range of complex issues such as IP assignments and licenses, customer and supplier agreements, advice around technology matters, privacy compliance issues and more. He has worked across NSW, Queensland and Victoria.
Brian has also worked in the Federal Court of Australia, Supreme Court of Victoria, the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office and Gilbert+Tobin Lawyers.
Brian is currently a director on the Board of Community Housing Ltd and has held directorships at the National Indigenous Lawyers Corporation of Australia, Lagaw Kodo Mir Torres Strait Islander Corporate Resource and Cultural Centre, Indigenous lawyers and law student associations in both NSW and Victoria and the Collingwood Industrial Magpies. Brian is a Meriam (Torres Strait Islander) man and is passionate about Indigenous self-determination and socially responsible economic development for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
