Michael Greene

Michael Greene is deputy managing partner of Norton Rose Fulbright in Australia, and head of the national government practice.

Michael is an experienced litigator based in Sydney. He has acted for public and private sector clients in the government, financial services, and other corporate sectors. Michael’s clients call upon him to advise them on disputes concerning contracts, tendering and procurement, fraud, intellectual property, directors and shareholders, corporate governance, administrative law, statutory duties and interpretation, road transport law, regulation and enforcement and issues concerning privilege and confidentiality.

Michael specialises in advising and appearing for government clients in statutory inquiries including several significant corruption inquiries, a judicial inquiry, special commissions of inquiry, royal commissions and a large number of coronial inquests.

Michael is listed by Chambers Asia-Pacific as a “Leader in the Field” of Government. He is a CEO Ambassador for the Workplace Gender Equality Agency’s national pay equity campaign, a non-executive director of Streetwork, a Sydney based charity which provides support for “at risk” young people, and a board member of CareerSeekers, which facilitates vocational opportunities for refugees and asylum seekers.
